A hospice care worker’s kind act toward one of his terminally ill patients has gone viral, with a twist that is enough to bring tears to your eyes.
Mary had been a piano and voice teacher in her tight-knit community of Austinburg, Ohio and had nurtured a love of music in generations of young people. One of those happened to be her nurse at the hospice where she was spending her final days. Joseph started singing lessons with her when he was only nine years old. Now he saw the chance to bring Mary some joy as he sang her her favorite hymn.
Mary’s son and daughter-in-law filmed this spectacular moment. It will give you goosebumps.
Isn’t it lovely that Joshua was able to give something back to his former teacher? People who work in hospice certainly are amazing people and Joshua is no exception. Mary must have been filled with pride as he shared his gift for music with her one last time.
